目前做P2P最多的属于P2P互联网金融平台，简单的意思就是个人对个人通过平台来连接达到解决双方的需求。
比如：
A有借款的需求，却找不到合适的人来借，在平台上发布了这个需求。
B有多余的闲钱，想要有更好的收益，于是通过平台进行投资
平台所做的就是通过A的需求，B的需求，最终把俩人匹配了起来，由B借给A，平台做担保。A要承担一定的借款利息，B可以收益一定的借款利息。这就是大家说的最多的P2P。
